Meet the Most Helpful Neighbor You’ll Ever Have

Here in Your Neighborhood. Here for You.

When you need help, support or information about your health or that of a loved one, turn to the Health Resource Center at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.

This state-of-the-art facility features books, brochures, computers with Internet access, a private consultation room and a classroom.

Dedicated to Healing You: Body, Mind and Spirit

Every month, the Health Resource Center offers a variety of programs that help our neighbors deal with the most common health care concerns. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, please ask!

Screenings. Often, a simple test can make a world of difference to your long-term health. The Health Resource Center offers glucose, cholesterol and blood pressure screenings every Friday, as well as periodic screenings for other conditions.

There is a $9 cash fee for the basic cholesterol screening. Fasting before testing is suggested. This test offers a baseline result only and does not address LDL, HDL or triglycerides.

Diabetes Management Program

We offer in-depth diabetes education, including individual consultations and group classes, provided by certified diabetes educators and a dietitian. You’ll learn the importance of managing your disease and how to make healthy food choices. The program focuses on seven key behaviors. To schedule diabetes classes, call 502-361-6025.

For more information or to inquire about programs that may not be listed, call the numbers listed in the program schedule, or log on to www.jhsmh.org.
