Taylor Regional Hospital Home Health bears new name and extended services

Taylor Regional Hospital Home Health, now simply Taylor Regional Home Health, has forged a new partnership with VNA Nazareth Home Care in order to expand services in Taylor County. The agreement, effective October 1, 2009, allows the agency to provide the community with a specialty pharmacy and several new programs designed for care and rehabilitation at home.

“The transition will be seamless to patients and families,” said Tom Gessel, Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s HealthCare vice president.  “Other than the name, the only changes the community should notice are an increase in services and programs. The team members and the high-quality care that patients and families have come to expect, will all remain the same.”

The services being added include a specialty pharmacy and Hearts to Homes, a non-medical service. A wide-range of specialty care programs, including Alzheimer’s and Dementia, Falls Prevention, Healthy Hearts, Safe Sight and Better Breathers, are also being added.

“Taylor Regional Home Health has been in the community for a long time, providing care where people want it most—in their homes,” said Jane Wheatley, president and CEO of Taylor Regional Hospital. “We wanted to increase the services available to this area and ensure we joined an agency capable of continuing the same level of care our clients deserve, all of which made VNA Nazareth Home Care a great fit.”

“Taylor Regional and VNA Nazareth are very similar: we are both involved in the community, staffed by a team of professionals living in each community and therefore want to see our patients succeed,” said Gerrie Leppert, CEO, VNA Nazareth Home Care.

VNA Nazareth Home Care has offices located in Clarksville, IN, Louisville, Bardstown, Elizabethtown and now, Campbellsville, KY.

Services are provided to the Kentucky counties of Jefferson, Oldham, Hardin, Nelson Bullitt, Meade, Breckenridge, Larue, Nelson, Washington, Marion, Nelson, Spencer and Shelby, as well as the Indiana counties of Harrison, Floyd, Clark, Scott, Jefferson, Washington and Crawford, with reach into many other counties for infusion services.
