Louisville, Ky.– Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s HealthCare team members will show their appreciation for colleagues and loved ones serving in the United States Military with a special DVD tribute. They are creating a compilation of photos and well wishes to send to the hospital’s active duty team members and their loved ones. The salute will also be available online and distributed to specific military bases and naval ships.
JHSMH currently has 12 teams members on leave from work duties while they serve in the U.S. military and around 300 who have family or loved ones serving.

WHEN: Tuesday, October 27, 2009 9:15 a.m. in ICCU Department (Two active reservists work in this department) or 1:30 p.m. in Surgery Department
Other times are available throughout the day – call to schedule
OPPORTUNITIES: -Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s HealthCare team members saluting current and retired military personnel in a photo shoot.
-Interview with Dr. Jeff Graves, a military veteran and anesthesiologist at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.
-Interview with Sheila Clark, secretary to the Corporate Director of Quality and Accreditation, who is the mother of BSSN Martin Clark, currently serving on the USS Crommelin FFG37 in Southeast Asia with the United States Navy. She is helping organize the salute photos and their distribution.
